The wine bar is noted for its strong focus on local dishes. Besides premium wines by local winemakers, the bar provides visitors home-made meat products and rustic bread from the bread oven. Other home-made dishes can be arranged for by request. Highlight: sale of local products. Opening hours: Wednesday–Saturday from 17.00.

Cultural and historical heritage
Ajdovščina traces its roots back to the 3rd century AD. In that period, the Romans set up a fortress called Ad Fluvium Frigidum (\"by the frigid river\") on the banks of the Hubelj whose remains survive until the present day.
Together with its partners (cultural clubs and freelancers in culture from Ajdovščina), the Youth Hostel Ajdovščina has been hosting workshops and multi-day colonies for various artists (theatre, sculpture, painting, handicrafts, visual arts and design, film art…).

Gostilna pri izviru Hublja
Set in close proximity to the Hubelj Spring along the natural science educational trail. The spring is a trailhead for different hill climbing tours. Guests can indulge in traditional regional delicacies, including štruklji rolled dumplings. Seats: 60 indoors, 80 in the garden.
Gostilna Sivi Čaven
Long-standing culinary tradition. Pampering guests with traditional regional specialities, fish dishes, grilled dishes and modern delicacies. Seats: 90 indoors, 30 in the garden. Opening hours: Monday–Tuesday 10.00–14.00; Wednesday–Friday 09.00–16.00; Saturday–Sunday 09.00–22.00.

The area around Ajdovščina has always been shaped by the forces of nature. Throughout the area’s tumultuous geological past, many organisms have left their imprints in the rocks (flysch, sandstone, limestone, dolomites, fossils and corals).
The Youth Hostel Ajdovščina is part of the Pale Sports Park. Together with its partners, the Youth Hostel provides guests great opportunities to pursue sporting activities.

Retracing the footsteps of Matija Vertovec
A circular path runs from the village of Ustje through Dolenje, over Planina where local luminary Matija Vertovec held a position, to Šmarje where he was born, looping back to Vrtovče and Tevče to the start in Ustje. The route is lined with a host of natural and cultural landmarks.
