Drawing on a rich natural and cultural heritage, the Vipava Valley offers a wide range of leisure activities that are ideal for holidaymaking, informal learning, acquiring new experiences and meeting new people. Characterized by unspoiled nature, the area boasts amazing biodiversity despite the menacing encroachment of capital on the most delicate parts of nature. Thus, the Youth Hostel Ajdovščina, in cooperation with external partners (ecologists, environmentalists, adult education providers, the Youth Centre and other non-profit organizations), seeks to set up science programmes and educational programmes aimed at providing a richer experience of leisure, learning and personal growth to those visiting the Vipava Valley.
